Family Resemblance?

Aside from the poor quality of these pictures, do you notice the family resemblance? The picture on the left was me at about 4 years old, I think and the picture on the right is one of Hadley's Christmas pictures. I'm pretty sure she takes after my side of the family.

Family Pizza Night

Tonight, we made homemade pizza for dinner. It was a fun, family project that had great taste at the end. Hadley enjoyed eating the chesse mostly and Drake attempted to help mix the dough before nearly throwing up in it. (Sticky things and Drake don't mix very well.) However, we got it all put together and in the oven. Then, after a scrumptious dinner, we headed to Shoe Carnival so Gabe could get some new shoes with his birthday money, then browsed the aisles of the toy department at Target.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Gabe turned the big 2-9, so we celebrated by venturing out to a chinese buffet and coming home to make cupcakes. The kids had a great time and they were yummy! Drake loves helping mix in all of the ingredients and stirring it up and Hadley loves licking the beaters. Drake loves to lick the beaters too as long as none of the batter actually touches his skin! Gabe and I also went out a couple of days early for a date night to celebrate his birthday with a quiet dinner and some 'bucks to top off the night.

Artist

Drake's fine motor skills have really been coming along lately. Here is his latest artwork on the new easel at Grammy's house. The chin drawing is a beard and the smoke coming out of his head is because his hair caught on fire. The purple drawing to the side is a new invention called a "toballoon". He'd have to explain it to you! Ahh, the mind of a four year old!

First Haircut

Hadley's hair is at the awkward stage. It's growing out, but not evenly, has a lot of natural curl in it and can be unmanageable at times. So, I decided I would at least attempt some bangs so it wasn't always in her face. Here are the results:
